Bronx Design Cherokee’s players of the game were Javonte Belle & Jason Pessoni, Dugout Sports Blackfeet players of the game were Sienna Cerone & Maximus Messina, Barino’s Market Mohicans had a bye, Parkview Sports Sioux players of the game were Ryan Curry & Carter Quinones, Peruzzo Market Apache players of the game were Leayden West & Eric Zapata.

Junior Pee Wee Division

The first game of the day was Middletown Animal Clinic Ramblers vs. Jimmy Ryan’s Crusaders
The Ramblers were led by Justin Laniyan who scored two 50 yd tds. and rushed for 160 yds, Matthew Rodriguez had a 15 yd td and a 70 yd int, Kris Musacchio scored the xp and played excellent D.Tristen Yepez contributed with 25 yds rushing. Jordan Yepez had 25 yds rushing and a int. Stanley Cruz had many big hits and scored on a safety. Gracie Cruz , Malik Gonzalez & Joel Guerra had big hits and played excellent defense. The Crusaders offensive highlights were by Tyler Bobe who had 60yd td run and 105 rushing yards, Tyler also completed a 20 yd pass to Lorenzo Cortez, Edwin Quianes had 15 rushing yds.& William Lappe had a 3 yd run. Defensive highlights were by Edwin Quianes who had a fumble recovery, and many big tackles. William Lappe & Raymond Velez(fumble recovery) had tackles for losses.The D line led by Aaron Valentin, Lorenzo Cortez & Jared Perez also had big tackles. Final Score Ramblers 21 Crusaders 6

The 2nd game was O’connor Carpet Blue Devils vs. Cardinal Spellman Spartans
The Blue Devils were led by Jayden Ramirez two td runs and one td by Jack Lucas. The O line played great led by Jayden Sawyers, Aiden Castellanos, Vince Massop, James Heffernan & Joseph Saldiveri. Jayden Sawyers made the game saving tackle. The Spartans were led by D’angelo Cabrera who had over 120 yds rushing and 2 td’s , Maximus Ferran had 76 yds rushing. Hassan Blakley had 62 yds rishing and Frankie Alverez and Matthew Gutierrez had strong games of 36 yds each. Spartans played a tough game but fell short. Final Score Blue Devils 19 Spartans 12

Pee Wee Division
The first game was Schuyler Hill F.H. Javelins vs. Chase Auto Group Rams
The Rams in their final game of the season defeated the Javelins. The Javelins O led by qb Nico Bustamante rb Jermel Heard and wr Kenneth Price had a great game Jermel Heard had 4 td’s and Kenneth Prince scored two xp’s. All this was made possible by the O line led by Jaiden Hubbard, Tommy Forliano, Steven Gadero, Matthew Rodriguez & Luis Ferran. Outstanding D play held the Javelins to 6 points in large part by the play of Xavier”Taz”Holloway, Frankie Serrano, Daniel Ortiz, Ty Diaz & Maximus Rivera .Congrats to the Rams who are the 2017 Pee Wee Division Champions as they finished with a record of 8-1. Final Score Rams 27 Javelins 6

The last game of the day was Ralph Giordano F.H. Saints vs. Scavello Black Knights
The Knights opened the scoring when qb Mark Piri hit Sammy Carello with a 10 yd td pass. The Knights second score came on a qb Mark Piri to Logan Arroyo 70 yd screen pass. The Knights final score was on a 10 yd td run by Logan Arroyo. The O played well all game led by Mark Piri, Jacob Ortega & a great game by Logan Arroyo. All this was made possible by the great play of the O line led by Quincy Mitchell, Joesph Markic & Jayden Villa. D highlights were Jayden Villa’s fumble recovery & Jacob Ortega’s interception. Outstanding D lineman were Elijah Calzadilla, Jayden Villa, Joseph Santonastaso, Sammy Carello, Jayden Javier & Ndulsbi Nwosu. At the after game press conference the Knights coaching staff were quoted as saying “Congratulations to the Black Knights players for a great year and they hoped everyone had a great time playing together as the Black Knights” Final Score Knights 18 Saints 6

Our travel team lost to Vailsburg Gators in Newark, NJ 19-0. The Warriors battled in the rain but could not muster any points against a bigger, more experienced team. The defense played big, with Aiden Hanley-Piri pulling in 3 INTs, Logan Ortiz and Sazah Rexhipu recovering fumbles and the rest of the D working hard to minimize the potent Gators offense.
Next week starts our Post Season Tournament it will be ….
Crusaders (1-8) vs Blue Devils (8-1)
Spartans (2-7) vs Ramblers (7-2)
Javelins (2-7) vs Rams (8-1)
